Included in the site for VAs, a new blog--well, a different version of this blog, really. We just need to stop adding content here and focus on what has to happen to finish the new sites.

Clients who tell Virtual Assistants what to do, how to do it, when to do it, how to report it, and/or dictate "what they'll pay" are known by the IRS and CRA as. Don't work for them. Instead, tell them how you work, and let them go if they're not agreeable to it.

Asana recently put out a report about collaboration within organizations, which you can get a copy of here, or just peep the insights on the web. This allows for more focus, more productive work, and even deeper work. Spending time in meetings simply means you have less time to get work done.

How was it fair, I reasoned, that they got my money and got to use it, interest free, even before my taxes needed to be prepared and reported? In my mind, if my taxes weren’t due till April, why did I have to give them money in advance? Wasn’t I already paying enough? We weren’t even talking about taxes.

On the afternoon of my birthday, I reported this on Facebook: “I did not awaken on this, my 50th bday, to find I''d been instantly transported to "I don''t give a f**k about what you think about my life," land (as I was told I would be). So far, this decade is such a slice of awesomeness—just as the one before it was.
