Since we both book meetings for him, it is important if we have proposed dates for a meeting that we secure them in his calendar so one of us doesn''t use it for another meeting. I share the CEO''s Outlook calendar with my assistant.

An assistant sent me and other recipients an e-mail proposing a date for a meeting. She tried a third time and proposed a new date for the meeting, but when I checked to see if my boss was available that day, I noticed it was a Saturday. The first e-mail she sent she put the wrong year.

Sit down with your boss and document the extra hours you are putting in and what you are doing in those hours and come up with a proposal of what might work better. But that is certainly something you can do. So here I am back to being an Administrative Assistant. Back to my roots and back to where I want to be.
