This year I plan on getting fit, working on a healthy work/life balance and getting my house completely organized. That’s right, I want to get even more organized! I have a few areas of my house that are truly organized and stay that way with very little effort and I want the rest of the house to work that way as well.

Thank you for sharing your resolutions and your organizing challenges. Recently, I had to move my classroom to a new location (a smaller room) in the building in which I teach, so one of my new year resolutions is to try to get my classroom more organized and to condense my supplies into smaller spaces. I shared before how we made our kitchen drawers more functional by creating custom organizers and this is essentially what we have done with the pantry! Here it is, the long awaited pantry of my dreams! I cannot believe how much we were able to fit into this space! Our entire island is now empty except for the coupon drawer.

We set up and organized all of the shoes, this time to be given to children, women and men from the neighborhood. Also when you ask how long it takes to get somewhere the usual answer is 30 minutes to an hour and a half depending on traffic. You never know what it will be like, you just get there when you get there.

We found out that an organization had actually shipped food to the orphanage back in April but they never received it, it sat in customs rotting. She knows them all by name and their stories. The missions coordinator is an American that lives in a tent on the orphanage property. They are always in need of supplies.
