One of the things I remember, and have put to good use, was a workshop on resume writing. I hope this will help you to write your resume if you are looking for a job or if you just need to update your old resume. In resume writing it is suggested that any experience over 10 years is too old to put on your resume.

Whenever I go on an interview, I set up a mock interview with a friend and we go over questions that might come up. It is the time spent practicing for the interview that helps. You want to get over those initial jitters and not knowing what to say in the mock interview. I call it getting into the interview mode.

I had an interview at 11 in the morning, but I had been so busy with my job, my daughter was getting married and my father was ill in the hospital. I finally decided that they would just have to take me as I was because I didn't have the time to do everything I knew I should be doing to prepare for this interview. Check them out.

I have been involved in conducting a few interviews for admin jobs and here are two of the main things I have noticed about those who are unsuccessful: resumes are out of date and not relevant to the job applied for and the person was not prepared for the interview. 12) Send a thank you card very soon after the interview.

I am in the process of developing testing for admin interviews and I really enjoyed doing that. It is always good to do an evaluation of your job and you may come away from the exercise deciding to put your resume out and look for something else or you may come away encouraged in your present job. I also like creating job manuals.
