One thing I have found that goes a long way are personal handwritten thank you notes and Starbucks gift cards. Show your appreciation for each team members’ efforts by taking them to lunch or at the end of the project give a gift of thanks or a certificate of appreciation. Be open to suggestions from the team. Value your team members. Even a periodic “pat on the back&# shows you acknowledge their efforts.
