If you are sending a large mailing to contacts from different companies, a good idea is to put their email addresses in the b.c.c. That way nobody will see who else is getting the email or have access to their email address. This is particularly important in a business mass email mailing. section and then send it.

The full name is electronic mail and I have seen it written either e-mail or email. Tags: email e-mail. Judith Kallos of Netmanners.com has written four books on the subject of e-mail etiquette so I asked her and she said the correct spelling is e-mail and she got her information from the "Chicago Manual of Style". E-mail is correct!

I want any emails sent from my boss to go into a special folder. I also want it to make a sound when the email arrives. I chose a ring tone so it is different than the default email notification. In my case, I actually turn my regular email notifications off, so her email is the only one that makes a sound.

When I receive an email relating to a meeting, I create a meeting sheet and cut and paste the email in there and make any relevant notes. I know others who keep folders in their Outlook and drag and drop emails there that have to do with a particular meeting. Most everything I do revolves around meetings.

I would suggest the following: If you have access to your boss's email Inbox, go through it as that will be a good place to start. Sometimes I have checked the Sent items to see my boss has already emailed the organizer to send her regrets to a meeting. I bring a folder with printed emails/letters etc.

Whether you are an Executive Assistant or an Administrative Assistant, email management of our boss's account has become a big part of our jobs. I have my own emails to read and process so when I go into his account, I am thankful for the emails I can skip over. Even though there is no action, these emails are worth reading.
