" My answer has always been the same: “When the book that wants to be written makes itself known to me, I'll write it.” I’ve never wanted to write a book book on that topic; it’s not been my dream in this context.

And steeped as I currently am in the writing of my book (on marriage, no less), I have a laser-like focus and view of what’s going on in marriages of a wide variety of people. Especially so, I think, in a country with divorce rates of 50% for first marriages, 67% for second marriages, and 74% for third marriages. LOL Yay us!

I went on to write a book about how I learned to meditate with the help of my cat. And indeed there were dragons, but with help of my Feline Zen Master, moxie and I were able to learn a more compassionate and loving way of being in the world, one that took a lot less energy to maintain.

That person may be smart to give a bit of money to (if it’s not part of an initial free consult) in order to tell you how much you should be socking away for quarterlies, advise you on setting up whatever system you’ll use to keep your books, etc. Ask about other ways to keep tabs on your finances without spending $100+/year.

I agree that it had the potential of asking me to be responsible for sales or bookings and as a VA I choose not to make that one of the services that I offer. I recently had someone asking me to work on a commission basis and told her that I prefer not to.
