Pulling up to Great Northern Hotel my cab driver told me that not so long ago the hotel and surrounding area used to be a no-go area referring to the clientele as ladies of the night. I thought this was a lovely addition and a real example of the hotel looking after its guests. Advertised minimum rate per night is £150 (August 2014).
