The Edelman 2012 Trust Barometer is out.  Edelman is a large public relations firm and they've been conducting an annual trust survey for 12 years.  The survey is global and they look at trust levels for media, government and corporations. They cover a lot of ground.

According to Monash University's 2012 IPro Index , white collar independent professionals are both happy and productive.  They surveyed 346 IPros as part of this study and found that: 88% are very satisfied working as an IPro; only 9% were unsatisfied. Or at least they in Australia, where the study was conducted.

They may change their minds as they get older, but their survey responses coupled with birth rate data is a pretty clear signal birth rates may stay low. .  Existing Spaces Are Expanding :  According to Deskmag's 2nd Annual Coworking Survey , 36% of all coworking spaces plan to open at least one new location in the coming year and 37% plan to expand their existing space of move to a larger space.  Only 27% do not plan to expand in 2012.

  Back in 2011 when we first starting asking about this in surveys, we assumed the vast majority of independent workers would view self-employment as being less secure than having a traditional job.  This is up from 41% in 2012.

Gallup has caused quite a stir with a survey showing that social media has little to no impact on the purchasing decisions of most consumers. Of all the flags that go up, this is probably the reddest: The social media marketing stats are based on surveys that were performed back in December 2012 and January 2013.
