The Hotel has been here since 2009 and has settled nicely into it’s moniker as the best hotel in Glasgow. .” Oh this should be nice I thought! As a club and now a hotel this building has been a choice destination in the city for over a hundred years. The foyer, the salon bar and the restaurants are beautiful.

The Hay Adams has welcomed some very very famous guests over the years, including Amelia Earhart in 1928, just recently the press junket for the 3rd season of Homeland, not to mention the Obama family prior to the inauguration in 2009. Last week they welcomed me through their historic doors.

I first visited Cameron House in 2009 after a £17M refurbishment that took it into the top five best hotels in Scotland. Venues and hotels often fail when they try to be all things to all people. The complex is waring well and in many parts looks like the reworking was done only a few years ago.
