Clear the Use Mircosoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages check box. To restore Word as a message editor, click Options on the Tools menu, click the Mail Format tab, then select the Use Microsoft Office Word 2003 to edit e-mail messages check box. Click Apply , then OK. On the File menu, point to New , then click Mail Message.

My answer to this is: Unfortunately, I use Microsoft Word 2003 (XP), so I am not sure if this will help you, but I assume that the functions in Microsoft Word 2007 should be the same or at least similar, especially for this function.
