Moxie Tip 65: Why Me?

Virtual Moxie

Next time you're stuck wondering “why you ” or something else like that, turn it upside down and ask boldly, why not? Every situation is an opportunity in which it's equally easy to look up as it is to look down. So look up. Find the good. There's a reason you are where you find yourself. Make the best and the most of it. .

Moxie Tip 63: Vrooooooom!

Virtual Moxie

When a client and you part company, especially when you didn't want it to happen, you can feel all sorts of things. Scared, sad, and even depressed for a time. . But realize that with the ending is a gift of space, and of time. And instead of seeing it as a sad (or worse!) think, instead, think about all the possibility that leave-taking created for you.

Moxie Tip 62: Life is a Teacup

Virtual Moxie

Unlike Forrest Gump, I think life's not as much a box of chocolates as it is like a teacup. If you fill your cup with the wrong things and the wrong people, you won't have time or space for the right things and right people. . Now apply that to your practice. .

Moxie Tip 59: Your Availability

Virtual Moxie

A client has the right to… be advised, in advance, of your availability. . This is not the same as a client having the right to tell you when to be available, which is absolutely inappropriate. One of your top goals needs to be letting a client know, at all times, that she's safe with you. That you're not going to skip out on her and head off to Bora Bora without a word.

Moxie Tip 58: Response-able

Virtual Moxie

If being responsible comes, in your thinking, with being blamed, shift it. Think instead that it means being response-able….able to respond, help and find solutions when there’s a need, and regardless of how the need came to be. There's plenty of time to figure out the "why" later. . . .
